On April 27, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in McDonnell v. United States, an important case in which Bob McDonnell, a former governor of Virginia, is challenging a criminal conviction under federal public corruption law.

Joining We the People to discuss the issues at stake are two legal experts who filed briefs on opposite sides of the case.

Noah Bookbinder is the Executive Director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington. CREW filed a brief in support of the government.

Judge Nancy Gertner is a Senior Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School. She co-authored a brief in support of Gov. McDonnell.
